Make-A-Wish Foundation honors El Paso teen's request with gift to help others - El Paso Times

With a big smile and wearing a white doctor's coat, 18-year-old Cynthia Annette Reyes saw her wish of giving, instead of receiving, come true Friday.

A recipient of a kidney transplant in 2011, Reyes wished for a donation to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to benefit nephrology research with the hope that a nephrologist can be hired. Nephrology is the study of kidneys.
