Infrastructure in the area is critical. And much new construction has already gone on in a goal to make El Paso the Medical Center of the Americas. It's the area centered by University Medical Center, the El Paso Children's Hospital and the campus of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center -- with its full-fledged medical school.
