Medical positive: Tech Center gets $3 million - El Paso Times

As expected -- we sure did -- the establishing of a full-fledged, four-year medical school in El Paso would be the catalyst in making El Paso the hub for border-related health care and health research.

The catalysts were the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine that is operating on the Texas Tech campus in Central. Next door the El Paso Children's Hospital officially opens today on the University Medical Center campus.
