Medicine March 5K to Benefit West Texas VA Hospital System

WHAT: Students of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Physician Assistant Program at the Permian Basin will host the Medicine March 5K to benefit veterans receiving treatment in the West Texas VA Hospital System (WTVAHCS).

WHEN: 7 a.m., Sunday (April 28)

WHERE: Midland College, 3600 N. Garfield St.

EVENT: The inaugural Medicine March benefitting the WTVAHCS will include a 5K run and 1-mile children’s run. Refreshments will be provided and winners will receive awards. The cost is $30 for adult runners and $15 for children. Visit www.medicinemarch.com to sign up.

The WTVAHCS serves veterans in 33 rural counties across 53,000 square miles in West Texas and eastern New Mexico. Approximately 17,000 (30 percent) of the 55,876 veterans who reside within the service area receive care from the WTVAHCS.
