More Alzheimer's funding sought - San Angelo Standard-Times

A state committee on Alzheimer's disease that heard from former Texas football coach Darrell Royal and his wife has recommended the Legislature increase Alzheimer's research funding, if possible.

The consortium is made up of five medical research institutions — Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
