Nursing program approved by higher ed board - Odessa American

Plans for the new nursing program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin received a shot in arm Thursday as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

The program at UTPB will open doors for nursing students in the Permian Basin since it will become the second school to offer a bachelor of nursing degree; Texas Tech University Health Science Center also has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
