‘Real Men Wear Pink’ campaign a success

Subhasis Misra, M.D., joined “Real Men” from the Amarillo community in wearing one pink item of clothing during October as part of the Real Men Wear Pink campaign to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
The Real Men Wear Pink campaign kicked off Oct. 3 with a news conference in the School of Medicine building basement with members of the community and the Real Men who would participate in the program. The American Cancer Society said Misra and the other men who participated reached or exceeded their goal of raising $1,000 each towards the American Cancer Society’s initiative to study breast cancer.
