The School of Nursing recently honored outstanding educators as part of its Faculty Development Awards program.

Nominations for these annual awards are submitted by peers and the individuals themselves. The Faculty Affairs Committee reviews submissions and selects the winners.

This year’s distinguished faculty members are:

The Young Investigator Award - Jeannette Crenshaw, DNP, R.N., assistant professor, Lubbock

Best Distance Teaching Award - Tara Hilliard, MSN, R.N., ACNP-BC, instructor, coordinator ACNP program, Lubbock

Innovation Award - LaMicha Hogan, R.N., MSN, FNP-BC, assistant professor/family nurse practitioner, Lubbock

Best Classroom Teaching Award - Kyle Johnson, MSN, R.N., instructor, Lubbock

Community Engagement Award - Wendy Thal, DNP, R.N.,FNP-C, CEN, associate professor, Lubbock

The Novice Award - Debra Winckler, MSN, R.N., instructor, Abilene
