South Korean Students, Faculty Visit TTUHSC
Private universities account for 87.3 percent of total higher educational institutions in South Korea.
The School of Allied Health Sciences Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences recently hosted a group of speech pathology and audiology students and faculty from Hallym University in South Korea.
Rajinder Koul, Ph.D., professor and chair in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and associate dean for research in the School of Allied Health Sciences; and Sue Ann Lee, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, served as TTUHSC representatives during the visit.
Visiting faculty and students attended six special lectures by School of Allied Health Sciences faculty in the areas of autism, neurogenic communication disorders, bilingual speech and language acquisition and augmentative and alternative communication.
Students also had the opportunity to visit The F. Marie Hall SimLife Center and the anatomy laboratory, as well as attend two classes taught by professors in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Read more
