SpiriTech Brings Students Together
The ropes course encourages team building.
The third annual SpiriTech interprofessional team building experience recently took place at the Spirit Ranch in Lubbock.
About 70 incoming students from all schools and campuses were treated to a dinner the night before.
Activities at camp the next day included a ropes course designed to emphasize trust, unity, understanding, teamwork and leadership skills.
Interprofessional Teamwork is part of TTUHSC's Quality Enhancement Plan required for accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools-Commission on Colleges.
The plan aims to to prepare graduates to be leaders in the dynamic health care environment by promoting the knowledge, skills, behaviors and attitudes required to provide high quality, safe, individualized care for patients as members of an interprofessional team.
