Tech HSC unveils cell phone app - LubbockOnline.com


Texas Tech Health Sciences Center officials unveiled a new smartphone application called the InfantRisk Center Wednesday afternoon.
Priced at $29.99, the app provides physicians and other health care workers with up-to-date information about medications and their safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The app is based on a book by InfantRisk Center executive director Dr. Thomas Hale, “Medications and Mothers’ Milk,” and was developed by Dallas-based Fleishman-Hillard International Communications. It’s available for both the iPhone and Android. MommyMeds, a free consumer version, will be released later this year.
