Tech's planned nursing school in Abilene gets donation - Abilene Reporter-News














A $200,000 donation from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas will help with the construction of Texas Tech University's nursing school in Abilene.

Officials from the insurance provider — which employs about 1,100 workers in Abilene — as well as Texas Tech and Hendrick Health System announced the grant Tuesday at Hendrick's Shelton Building.
