The first major endeavor of the Foundation will be to organize a scientific conference in San Antonio in fall of 2015 to provide information to physicians and other health care providers about current issues related to the safe and effective treatment of pain, especially chronic pain and cancer pain. A committee headed by Miles Day, M.D., from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Medicine, will plan the conference. He will be assisted by Drs. Erik Hustak, Joyseree Subramanian, Dani Solanki, and Joel Berry.
