Texas senators opt to use own roads resolution - El Paso Times
The Texas Senate on Friday substituted its own resolution to devote $800 million more a year to Texas roads instead of using the one passed earlier this week by the House.

The funding died in a House-Senate dispute at the end of the regular session, but members of both parties and House and Senate said this week that they are eager to pass a bill that would mean money for many of their districts. In El Paso, the University of Texas at El Paso would get $88 million for a building and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center would get $79.3 million.
