Texas Tech Physicians Geriatric Center to Hold Community Education Session

The public is invited to attend an introductory education session on geriatric medicine conducted by Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin Geriatric Center Aug. 17 at 4 p.m. at the classroom located in the MCH Center for Health & Wellness.

Rosa Vizcarra, M.D., Chau Le, M.D., and Elenita Usher, M.D., will present a program titled, “Changes with Aging.” The discussion will highlight physical and mental changes associated with the aging process. This session will be followed by a question and answer session.

This event will be followed by an open house of the new Geriatric Center located in the MCH Center for Health & Wellness at 8050 Faudree Road (Highway 191 and Faudree Road) in Odessa.

To address the medical needs of the aging population of West Texas, Texas Tech Physicians has teamed with Medical Center Health Systems to offer an outpatient geriatric center specifically designed for adults over 55 years of age.

There is no cost to attend and reservations are not needed.
