Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Leadership Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

WHAT: Leadership at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso campus will accept the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS ice bucket challenge from officials at Sierra Providence Health Network.

WHEN: 3 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 3)

WHERE: Medical Science Building, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, 5001 El Paso Drive. (The corner of 200 N. Concepcion and Alberta Ave.)

EVENT: Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing students, wearing red scrubs, will climb the outside steps to the second floor of the Medical Sciences Building I and pour ice buckets down to the first level and over the TTUHSC El Paso leadership team including: Founding President of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Richard Lange, M.D., M.B.A.; Vice President for Health Affairs, Jose Manuel de la Rosa, M.D.; Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Rajkumar Lakshmanaswamy, Ph.D., and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement, Victoria Pineda. At that time, TTUHSC El Paso leadership has another ALS challenge to make to other El Paso higher education institutions.
