Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at the Permian Basin Raises Money for Scholarships
The Advisory Council of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) at the Permian Basin’s first ST.O.M.P. fundraiser raised approximately $50,000.
ST.O.M.P., "STewards Of Medical Professionals," is the scholarship fundraiser benefitting students enrolled at the TTUHSC at the Permian Basin. The fundraiser helps provide scholarship support to all programs on the local campus, which includes the School of Medicine, School of Nursing and the School of Allied Health Sciences.
TTUHSC President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., along with local students attended the event, which featured live music from members of George Strait's "Ace in the Hole" band and a silent auction.
Proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for Permian Basin medical, nursing, physical therapy and physician assistant students.
