Another freestanding institution has been added to the Texas Tech University System.

Governor Perry signed a bill making the Tech Health Sciences Center at El Paso the fourth independent institution within the university's system. It's home to the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, and a graduate school of biomedical sciences.
