TTUHSC School of Nursing Student Accepted Into Navy Nurse Candidate Program

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) hosted a swear-in ceremony for TTUHSC School of Nursing student Gwen Padgett Thursday, Jan. 18. She was recently accepted into the Navy Nurse Candidate Program.
Scholarship opportunities such as this program allow students to focus on their dedication as full-time students rather than how they will pay for school.
As a Navy Nurse, Padgett will serve by assisting those who serve in the navy, their families and others in need across the world.
Padgett is a student in the School of Nursing’s traditional nursing program, and will join the Navy Nurse Corps as an officer following graduation as a Red Raider nurse.
