TTUHSC Students to Participate in Trauma Simulation
WHAT: Students from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and School of Allied Health Sciences will participate in a trauma simulation at the TTUHSC Abilene Simulation Center.
WHEN: July 29 (Wednesday)
Session One
Simulation: 8 to 10 a.m.
Debriefing: 10 to 11 a.m.
Session Two
Simulation: 1 to 3 p.m.
Debriefing: 3 to 4 p.m.
WHERE: TTUHSC Abilene Simulation Center, 1674 Pine St.
EVENT: More than 100 TTUHSC students from the School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and School of Allied Health Sciences will join Abilene community partners, including the Abilene Fire Department, the Abilene Christian University Master of Science in Social Work program and Hendrick Medical Center in a realistic trauma simulation. The simulation is part of an effort to improve teamwork and communication skills among a variety of health professions and prepare students for practice and promote patient safety in a trauma environment.
