Walk raises awareness for disease - DailyToreador.com

The Lubbock Heart Walk took place 9 a.m. Saturday at Texas Tech’s Frazier Alumni Pavilion. The three-mile and one-mile courses were set up around the Tech campus. Registration lasted an hour, beginning at 8 a.m. The event was free to participants.

Tom Tenner, co-chair for the event and professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Medical Education at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, said he is a long-time heart health volunteer.
