Welcome to the Odessa campus of the TTUHSC School of Health Professions. The Odessa campus provides a premier learning environment for the Health Professions students with state of the art classrooms, laboratories, computer resources, and student support areas ranking among the finest within the State of Texas . Students at the Odessa campus are provided an educational structure for classroom and laboratory instruction by on-site faculty supported by a distance education format linking the faculty among the Odessa, Amarillo, and Lubbock campuses.

Odessa is known as the "City of Contrasts " and is located in the heart of the Permian Basin midway between Ft. Worth and El Paso , Texas . The region is rich with natural resources enabling the ranching and oil industry to flourish throughout the years. The climate in Odessa is mild and semi-arid. The low humidity and cooler evenings provide very comfortable living conditions for the more than 240,000 residents of the Permian Basin area. The Odessa/Midland area provides a number of cultural and recreational activities including museums, productions at the infamous Globe Theatre, the Confederate Air force, professional hockey and minor-league baseball. Other activities including fishing, snow skiing, hunting, and hiking can be accessed with only a few hours drive from Odessa .

The Odessa Health Sciences Center campus also includes a School of Medicine and a School of Nursing. The School of Health Professions and the Health Sciences Center have tremendous community support with a designated Advisory Council comprised of over thirty highly involved and influential area volunteers. The area is also the home of two community colleges and a four-year university.
