Post-Master's Informatics

Program Overview

The Informatics & Intelligent Systems post-masters certificate prepares clinicians to understand the design, implementation, and optimization of digital technologies used in modern healthcare. Students learn core concepts in informatics, data visualization, introductory analytics, interoperability, AI integration, and emerging digital health technologies. Individuals who complete this certificate are prepared to contribute to ethical, human-centered, and evidence-driven technology initiatives across diverse healthcare settings.

Students must have a master's degree as the minimum preparation for the post-graduate certificate program.

A Post-Graduate Nursing Informatics and Intelligent Systems Certificate is also available to those who currently hold a Master of Science in Nursing and wish to assume an advanced practice role in Nursing Informatics.

Upon completion of course requirements, graduates of the Masters IIS track are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Board Certification and the HIMSS Certified Professional in Health Information Management (CPHIMS) Exams.
