Doc in a Lunch Box

WHAT: Premiere Doc In A Lunch Box Speaker Series, sponsored by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health (LWBIWH).

WHEN: Thursday, April 14, 2011

WHERE: True Lite Christian Fellowship, 3001 North A St., Midland

EVENT: Part of the mission of the LWBIWH is to provide information about topics vital to women’s health. A new series has been created as a fun, easy and informal way for women to learn from local health care experts about issues that are important to them and their families.

At this first free lunch, Leslie Chupp, M.D., executive director of the Jenna Welch Women’s Center — and regional director of the LWBIWH at the Permian Basin, will talk about the importance of hormones during all stages of a woman’s life. “Hormones: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,” is for women of all ages. In this informal setting, attendees may ask Chupp questions most doctors don’t have time to answer during routine visits.

Seating is limited. To reserve your spot, call (432) 620-5800, ext. 240, or email david.jorgensen@ttuhsc.edu .

The LWBIWH was created in 2007, and is dedicated to the cultivation and advancement of multidisciplinary science in women's health and to the promotion of the well-being of women through research, education and community outreach. The institute has centers in the Permian Basin, Amarillo, Lubbock, San Angelo and El Paso. Visit www.ttuhsc.edu/lwbiwh for more information.
