Your Life, Our Purpose campaign comes to Amarillo campus
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., was on the Amarillo campus Nov. 18 to announce the kickoff of TTUHSC’s Your Life, Our Purpose campaign, which seeks to raise $150 million to advance initiatives in education while providing better health outcomes locally and globally.
“A campaign calls on us to ask what we stand for,” Mitchell said. “What institutional commitments will we make to define who we are and who we will be decades from now? The real success of Your Life, Our Purpose will be the ability to enrich the efforts and commitment of those who have bequeathed this extraordinary university to us, and to strengthen it for those who will follow.”
The Your Life, Our Purpose campaign will run through TTUHSC’s 50th anniversary in 2019 and will support scholarships to help assist students on all campuses. In addition to scholarship opportunities, campaign contributions will go to TTUHSC research and projects in conjunction with other institutions within the Texas Tech University System.
